A Level Results 2026

Halliford School is celebrating an exceptional year of A Level success, with Upper Sixth students achieving the strongest results in the school’s history and securing a record number of places at Oxbridge and Russell Group universities. Student performance was excellent, with Grades A*-C above the national average for independent schools. Spanish students secured 100% A*-A grades, while Chemistry and Art achieved a 100% A*-B success rate.

These outstanding outcomes are a testament to the hard work, determination and ambition of our students, supported every step of the way by dedicated staff and families. As they prepare to embark on the next stage of their educational journeys, Halliford students can look forward to exciting futures at some of the most prestigious universities in the country.

A hallmark of the Halliford experience is the personalised guidance provided throughout the university application process. Through close collaboration between students, families, staff and admissions teams, an impressive 98% of Halliford students secured places at their chosen university this year.

The breadth and quality of offers received by students reflects the high regard in which Halliford is held by leading universities. We are delighted to see students progressing to institutions including Oxford, Cambridge, University College London, Manchester, Bristol, Southampton, Nottingham, Edinburgh, Exeter, Warwick and Leeds, among many others.

Commenting on this year’s achievements, the outgoing Headmaster James Davies said:

‘Following our outstanding ISI report earlier this year, which singled out the superb progress made by each individual student, I am thrilled to see the best A Level results in the school’s history. At Halliford, our ethos has always been to celebrate individual success and personal growth rather than focus purely on examination statistics, and the outstanding value-added outcomes and university successes announced today are a real testament to our personalised approach. Our aim has always been to nurture the young people the future so badly needs, and our Upper Sixth leavers are truly exceptional young people ready to become outstanding leaders in whatever field they choose, while remaining warm-hearted individuals who will go on to make a real difference in the world. We are so proud of each of them.’

GCSE Results 2026

Halliford School is also celebrating a landmark year of GCSE success, with Year 11 students achieving the finest set of GCSE results in the school’s history.

A record number of grades were awarded at Grades 7-9, significantly above the national average for independent schools, representing the highest proportion of top grades ever achieved at Halliford. Among the many individual success stories, several students attained an exceptional clean sweep of Grades 8 and 9 across all their subjects. The Art Department performed strongly with 95% of pupils achieving Grades 8 and 9, and 86% of our early entry Mathematics students achieved a Grade 9.

While these remarkable statistics reflect academic excellence, the day has been equally notable for the countless stories of perseverance, resilience and personal achievement that underpin them. Across the year group, students have demonstrated extraordinary commitment and determination, making these accomplishments all the more meaningful.

Headmaster Dr Millan Sachania said:

‘I am absolutely delighted with these record-breaking results. At Halliford, we are committed to celebrating individual success and enabling every young person to fulfil their potential. It has been a privilege to spend today with pupils, parents and colleagues sharing in these wonderful achievements. Seeing Hallifordians open their results and experience such joy and pride has been genuinely moving. Their success today is richly deserved, and we could not be prouder of all they have achieved.

GCSE results are an important milestone, but our vision for education extends far beyond examination performance. We are passionate about developing well-rounded young people who possess not only academic excellence, but also the character, values and skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing world. Through a wealth of co-curricular opportunities, leadership experiences, outstanding pastoral care and our warm, supportive community, we encourage every Hallifordian to become the very best version of themselves. Today’s results reflect an exceptional group of young men, and I hope they enjoy celebrating this well-deserved success with their families and friends.’

Halliford School is looking forward to welcoming students back for the start of the autumn term, when they will return to see the school has benefited from significant investment and enhancement over the summer months.

Continuing its commitment to providing an outstanding educational environment, the School has invested heavily in its facilities to ensure students have access to the very best resources and opportunities. At a time when the independent education sector continues to face challenges arising from changes in taxation, Halliford has been greatly encouraged by the positive feedback from parents, many of whom regard a Halliford education as offering exceptional value for money. Despite the pressures facing the sector, the School remains committed to supporting its pupils and maintaining the high standards that underpin its thriving community.

Halliford’s distinctive educational model, offering a boys’ education from Years 7 to 11 followed by a flourishing co-educational Sixth Form, is carefully designed to support young people as they develop academically, socially and personally. This unique journey enables students to flourish in an environment tailored to their evolving needs, preparing them with confidence for life beyond school.

Alongside an impressive cohort of young men, Halliford is delighted to welcome another strong intake of girls into its well-established co-educational Sixth Form. The School looks forward to seeing these talented young people play a leading role within the community over the next two years.

It is an exceptionally exciting time for Halliford School, with continued growth, investment and success across the School. Prospective families are warmly invited to attend the School’s Whole School Open Morning on Saturday 3rd October. Please book your visit here.
