At Halliford School, we are proud of our aim to make every student the best version of themselves that they can possibly be, and this is never more true than it is in Music. We pride ourselves on embracing all styles of Music and support every student in developing their own unique musical voice, whatever that might be. To facilitate this, we enjoy running a very active co-curricular timetable and concert calendar, as outlined below:

This list can be subject to change as we pride ourselves on following the needs of our pupils and adapting accordingly when necessary.
Instrumental Tuition
Tuition is offered in the following instruments:
- Voice (all styles)
- Piano (all styles)
- Strings (to include violin, viola, cello and double bass)
- Woodwind (to include flute, clarinet and saxophone)
- Brass (to include cornet, trumpet, trombone, french horn, baritone, euphonium and tuba)
- Guitar (to include classical, acoustic, electric, bass and ukulele)
- Drums (to include percussion)
Students taking graded examinations may do so with ABRSM, Trinity or Rock School, or may opt not to follow the exam route. Our department staff all give generously of their time and support students with their studies outside of the classroom and extra-curricular time.

Awards
Students who excel may be awarded a Music Scholarship and Music Colours.
