School Transport

Introduction

Halliford School partners with Vectare, a specialist school transport software company, to improve our transport offering. One of the key benefits of Vectare is the ability to view seat availability in real time. You no longer need to worry about whether there will be a seat for your child on their preferred route. Through the intuitive system, you can instantly see which seats are available and make a booking accordingly. This real-time visibility ensures that you can plan your child’s transportation more efficiently. Our range of coach services covers Kew, Richmond, Esher, Claygate, Cobham, Thames Ditton, Byfleet, Weybridge, Woking, Staines and Wraysbury, and includes a link with Walton-on-Thames railway station, which connects with Surbiton in 7 minutes and Woking in 12 minutes.

Transport Service

We would like to encourage our parents to consider using the service for their children to help the environment, reduce local traffic congestion and encourage independent travel in a safe environment. There are eight bus routes that operate every school day, as shown below:

  • Route A – St. Margaret’s / Isleworth / Hanworth / Lower Sunbury / Upper Halliford
  • Route B – Claygate / Hinchley Wood / Thames Ditton / Esher / East Molesey / West Molesey / Walton
  • Route C – Pyrford / West Byfleet / Byfleet / Brooklands / Weybridge / Oatlands
  • Route D – Englefield Green / Egham / Wraysbury / Staines / Knowle Green / Laleham / Shepperton
  • Route E – Kew / Mortlake Train Station / East Sheen / Richmond / Twickenham / Strawberry Hill
  • Route F – Coombe Lane / Cobham / Esher / Walton Station
  • Route G – Woking / Row Town / Chertsey
  • Route H – Coombe Lane Express route direct to Halliford School – mornings only

For more detailed route information, please download the School Transport Guide below.

Our routes can be adapted to incorporate new stops. For further information, please contact the Bursary Department by emailing fees@hallifordschool.co.uk or calling 01932 234923.

Walton-on-Thames Station Service

Our Route F incorporates a stop at Walton Station, which is then a direct service to/from school. If the stop becomes too busy, priority will be given to those using the train.  Walton Station is well connected with direct routes from/to Surbiton and Woking.

We also run a ‘late’ shuttle bus service back to Walton Station and Staines Station, Monday to Thursday at 5.15pm. These must be booked in advance on a first-come, first-served basis by contacting Reception directly. If your child is an existing afternoon bus user, there will be no extra charge. If not, a single journey charge will apply. Please note that a place on these buses is not guaranteed due to a very limited number of spaces.

Shepperton Station

Halliford is a short walk from Shepperton train station, where trains run from Waterloo via Clapham Junction, Wimbledon, Kingston, Hampton and Teddington.

Wimbledon to Shepperton in 37 minutes, Kingston to Shepperton in 25 minutes and Teddington to Shepperton in 20 minutes.
