Sixth Form Taster Events
We offer a number of Sixth Form Taster events prior to entry into the Sixth Form.
For Hallifordian students in Year 10, we host a ‘Year 10 to Sixth Form’ Taster Day every June. On this day, our students experience a day in the life of a Sixth Former, taking A Level taster lessons, eating in our Sixth Form Cafe, and enjoying the freedom and responsibility that comes with being a Sixth Former.See our highlights video below.
For external students looking to join our Sixth Form, we offer two specific Taster Days. These events are a chance for Year 11 students to try out a wide range of subjects at a higher level, meet subject specialist teachers, hear from current Sixth Formers, and discover the wealth of opportunity at Halliford School.
Taster Morning Order of Events

| 10.15am (Period 3) | Taster lesson |
| 10.55am (Morning Break) | Morning Break in the Sixth Form Café |
| 11.15am (Period 4) | Taster lesson |
| 11.55am (Period 5) | Taster lesson |
| 12.35pm (Lunchbreak) | Lunch in the Sixth Form Café |
| 1.05pm | Club & Societies Taster in Recital Room |
| 1.45pm (Period 6) | Presentation from Halliford Sixth Formers, Q&A session in Recital Room |
| 2.25pm (Period 7) | Team Building Session in Recital Room |
| 3.05pm | Close of day |
