Job Description

Start Date:  May 2023, Part Time – Temporary

We are looking for reliable, flexible and professional individuals to join our team of Exam Invigilators to support our School during the exam season.  Exams are held in November / December and then in May / June. Our next series of exams will commence in May 2023.

You will have good communication and interpersonal skills as well as work well as part of a team of invigilators. You will be confident and hold a reassuring presence to candidates in the Learning Support exam rooms and in the exam hall.

Main Duties:

  • To support students with additional exam concessions, e.g. as a scribe or prompt. This will require working with a small group or working one to one
  • To conduct exams in accordance with awarding body regulations and instructions
  • To have a key role in upholding the integrity and security of the examination process
  • Supervise and observe candidates at all times as well as vigilant throughout exams
  • Undertake training, update and review sessions as required

General Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Specific Learning Difficulties and related Access Arrangements is required
  • Invigilators are required to confirm their availability in advance of main exam periods
  • Invigilators must confirm the confidentiality and security requirements surrounding the invigilation process are known, understood and will be followed at all times

Hours of Work:

  • We would ask for availability for a minimum of 6 sessions per week
  • Morning sessions start from 8.30am, afternoons from 12.40 pm
  • Exams are not guaranteed to finish before end of school

This is a part time / casual hours role and lunch is provided.

£12.50 per hour
