Another fantastic day for our Geography students in Iceland.
The day began at the Lava Centre, where students experienced a high-tech, interactive exhibition, learning about Iceland`s powerful volcanic and seismic activity. They then embarked on an unforgettable Super Jeep Tour, travelling onto the spectacular Eyjafjallajökull glacier and witnessing first-hand the dramatic landscapes that make Iceland such a unique geographical environment.
The adventure continued with a visit to the breathtaking Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Cascading 65 metres from high basalt cliffs, Seljalandsfoss is one of Iceland`s most iconic natural landmarks. Uniquely, it is one of the few waterfalls in the world where visitors can walk behind the curtain of water, providing a truly immersive experience. On their final night, they also witnessed the Northern Lights.
An inspiring day of exploration, discovery and unforgettable memories! 🌍❄️ #HallifordSchool #GeographyTrip #IcelandAdventure #LearningBeyondTheClassroom #Seljalandsfoss #Eyjafjallajokull #FutureGeographers
