This term, our Geography students have truly proven that the world is in their hands – quite literally, thanks to some squishy globe stress balls. From Year 7 to Upper Sixth, they have mapped their way to success, winning awards for both achievement and effort. As you might expect from our keen geographers, they managed to find latitude, longitude, and, most impressively, a whole lot of determination.
No geography celebration would be complete without our honorary guest – a life-sized cardboard cut-out of Sir David Attenborough himself. Yes, the man, the myth, the cardboard legend! Many award-winners posed for photos with Sir David, who, as ever, was unflappable under pressure and remarkably still for every snapshot.
Our Year 7 students were excited to celebrate their newfound love of river systems, while the Year 11 students managed to avoid any erosion of their revision motivation ahead of exams. Our A Level students, meanwhile, showcased that geography is not just about maps – it’s about finding your place in the world.
A huge well done to all our award winners for their hard work and enthusiasm. Whether you’re navigating oxbow lakes, climate graphs, or Sir David’s enigmatic smile, it’s clear that Geography students here are on the path to greatness. So here’s to another term of studying our world.
