In Year 7, we offer a very limited amount of homework for the first half term in the core subjects only, as we want our students to settle in to school life. Homework tasks should have a maximum time limit of 30 minutes. After the first half term, we broaden that out to the other subjects, where homework in Art, DT, Music, Latin, Computer Science and Religious Studies is set once within a two week period.

In Year 8, homework tasks should have a maximum time limit of 30 minutes. Homework in DT, Music and Latin and Religious Studies is set once within a two week period.

In Year 9, homework tasks should have a maximum time limit of 40 minutes. Homework in DT, Music, Classical Civilisation, Religious Studies and Latin is set once within a two week period.

In Years 10-13, the advised maximum time limit for homework is 60 minutes.

We encourage students to attend the supervised homework period from 4pm-5pm which is available for any student.
